TOP CHEF AND OWNER OF THE RESTAURANT CORNELIA POLETTO AND THE COOKING SCHOOL CUCINA CORNELIA POLETTO
Cornelia Poletto is a passionate cook and hostess. For the Hamburg local, the pulse of life strikes where there is a covered table with good food and a social get together.
After an apprenticeship at the hotel management school, Cornelia Poletto trained as a cook with one of the most successful German chefs - Heinz Winkler. Anna Sgroi taught her the sophistication of the Italian cuisine in the Hamburg-based "Anna & Sebastiano" restaurant.
In 2000, Cornelia Poletto opened her own restaurant "Poletto" with her then husband, Remigio Poletto. For excellent cooking, she was already awarded a star in the Michelin guide in the second year, which she held until the restaurant closed.
On December 31, 2010 "Poletto" served the last dish of its star kitchen. Because of the sale of the property Cornelia Poletto had to find a new home for her cookery, which she found only a few meters from the old domicile. On June 1, 2011, a new Poletto era began. At Eppendorfer Landstraße 80, Cornelia Poletto fulfilled her dream of a deli with an attached restaurant that bears her name with an innovative gastronomic concept. On March 20, 2013 - just a few meters away in Goernestraße 7 - she opened her own cooking school: the "Cucina Cornelia Poletto".
Cornelia Poletto is a member of the association of young top chefs ("Jeunes Restaurateurs d'Europe"). She is well-known to television viewers from programs such as "Polettos Kochschule" (NDR), "Lanz kocht" (ZDF), "Die Küchenschlacht" (ZDF) and as a juror in the SAT.1 cook show "The Taste". Cornelia Poletto’s recipes have been published in seven cookbooks (most recent: "My favorite recipes").
